Thirty days March 15, 2020. The federal government told everyone to stay home. The check didn’t arrive until April 15. In Jackson, Mississippi, Cooperation Jackson organized food distribution to 10,000 families in two weeks.... Wholesomeness culture. I was listening to a cool album Dara and Forest recommended called ten days, and as I was listening to it I had this surge of: ahh yeah, wholesomeness is so cool, I wish it was a bigger trend. And then I'm like: how is it already a big trend to be wholesome, which I'm just not aware of yet? This album feels that way to me. I guess in some way sustainable living, recycling, reusing is wholesome and trendy these days, as well as being honest and kind (Relatefulness and AR seems to be a little trendy these days), living healthy, supporting local businesses etc. what else is wholesome and trendy these days?
+1 to old school wholesomeness. Churches and old school religious institutions have their issues for sure but they're also amazing at community organizing, taking care of each other—especially around big human events like birth, death, sickness, marriage—and offer so much wisdom...
